We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team on a part-time weekend program. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select appropriate technical factors to obtain optimal diagnostic quality MRI scans.
  • Initiate IVs for contrast media administration and accurately review patient charges.
  • Perform post-processing of computer data to enhance image information.
  • Secure pertinent patient history and ensure procedure criteria is met.
  • Comply with department safety standards and monitor staff compliance.
  • Maintain medical supplies and inventory levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with current MRI protocols and emerging technologies.
  • Provide instruction and assistance to staff and students as needed.
Requirements
  • 3 years general radiology experience and 6 months to 1 year full equivalent MRI experience.
  • Completion of a formalized MRI course or equivalent.
  • IEMA License, CPR Certification, and ARMRIT certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
Working Conditions

This position requires flexibility in hours worked, ability to respond to requests for overtime, and willingness to work on short notice. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
