Firefighter Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at the Town of Addison, TX. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, performing fire suppression and rescue duties, and providing emergency medical services.

• Respond to emergency alarms and calls for service, and perform fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical duties as required.
• Establish safe medical treatment areas for patient assessment, treatment, and transportation.
• Participate in classes, drills, and training to maintain and upgrade current physical fitness, firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical skills.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain personal protective equipment and emergency response equipment.
• Provide fire safety and prevention training in the public schools and to other community groups.

• Must possess a minimum of 30 college credit hours from an accredited institution or two years of full-time, paid, Firefighter/Paramedic experience.
• Must be certified as a Paramedic by the Texas Department of State Health Services and hold Basic Firefighter certification from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relations with fellow employees, Town officials, and outside contractors.
• Safe driving record and clear criminal background check.
