Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled mental health clinicians to join our clinical team on a per diem basis. Our team works collaboratively to provide high-quality services to individuals and families in need.

As a member of our clinical team, you will work closely with us to determine the number of hours you can provide direct face-to-face and/or telehealth sessions and attend supervision to ensure you receive the support you need.

You will be part of a larger clinical team that includes Clinical Teams at each of our two A31 Community Mental Health Clinics located in Yonkers and Peekskill.

All of our clinicians provide services using a trauma-responsive, whole-person care approach to ensure individuals and families receive quality services that best meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial evaluations and assessments for new or transferred clients and document accordingly.
  • Develop clinically appropriate treatment plans and all related documentation for client records.
  • Provide evidenced-based or evidenced-informed psychotherapy/interventions to an agreed caseload of clients and their families using individual, group, and/or family intervention modes (depending on training and certifications).
  • Implement evidenced-based treatments to fidelity in various settings, including site-based, home, or other community-based settings in Westchester County (as agreed upon hire).
  • Ensure the safety of clients and their families by taking immediate action to address safety and well-being threats and providing crisis intervention when needed.
  • Participate in weekly or bi-weekly clinical supervision (as agreed upon hire) and attend other department or staff meetings as agreed or requested by Supervisor/Director.
  • Focus on respectful engagement of clients and stakeholders, anticipating their needs, providing information and non-clinical support to clients, families, colleagues, community service providers, and others to ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., schools, protective services, etc.) connected to the client and maintain records of communications.
  • Document all sessions and contacts with families and collaterals according to OLP and CFTSS service manuals and agency-guidance.
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation within agency and stakeholder guidelines.
  • Attend all job-related agency trainings as directed by Supervisor/Director.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy (i.e., a licensable professional degree).
  • Initial active licensure preferred (LP-MSW, LMSW, LP-LMHC, LP-LMFT) or scheduled.
  • Relevant clinical experience with children, adolescents, and families and some knowledge of evidenced-based practices and interventions.
  • Desire to learn and implement trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions.
  • High organizational and time-keeping skills to be able to work autonomously.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and work in electronic health record systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong clinical insight and ability to directly apply clinical feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Bilingual and bi-cultural candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
