Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to lead our team in the Indianapolis facility. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, implementing Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance techniques, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the training and development of new employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively to minimize risks and optimize productivity.
- Meet production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods.
- Facilitate floor operations and remove barriers for employees to meet measurable objectives.
- Implement and maintain Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Align with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Maintain frequent contact with others outside the work group to foster collaboration and communication.
- Keep management informed of developments as they occur to ensure timely decision-making.
- Provide a physical presence in the workplace to lead by example and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic math and analytical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees and management.
- Ability to work effectively with others and motivate employees to achieve common goals.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental practices to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure high-quality products.
- Strong computer skills to utilize software and systems to manage production and operations.
- Ability to adapt to changes in responsibility based on business needs to demonstrate flexibility and agility.
