We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Tenet-AZ Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Job SummaryThe Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining asepsis, and assisting surgeons during procedures. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for surgery by completing pre-operative assessments and reviewing medical charts.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining asepsis and adhering to sterile technique.
- Participate in OR turnover and cleaning, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- One year of experience in the operating room setting, preferably in a Level 1 trauma center.
