Abrazo West Campus is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for assisting the physician with advanced tasks during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling appropriate instruments and supplies.
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs and provide instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedures.
- Participate in counting sharps, instruments, and sponges, and ensure that all surgeon preference cards are accurate.
- Assist with OR turnover between cases and participate in stocking, replenishing supplies, and cleaning operating rooms.
- Participate in or lead the training and orientation of surgical staff and students, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Surgical technologist certification and Basic life support certification.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a surgical technologist role, with 1 year of experience in a CVOR setting preferred.
Benefits:
- Guaranteed 80 hours of regular pay through the STAR program.
- Participation in the STAR program consists of five 8-hr work shifts and five 16-hour on-call shifts per pay period.
