Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team at Northwestern University. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating clinical research studies, performing related tasks and activities, and ensuring the smooth execution of research protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule logistics and determine workflows for clinical research trials
  • Recruit, screen, select, and enroll study participants, collecting information and answering questions under the supervision of a medically licensed professional
  • Perform basic medical assessments, such as collecting vital signs and performing phlebotomy, after completion of required training and certification
  • Manage research workflow components, collect, prepare, process, and submit participant data and samples to appropriate entities, adhering to research protocols
  • Identify work unit resource needs and manage supply and equipment inventory levels
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clinical research participants and clinical staff, providing information regarding research procedures, expectations, and inquiries
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study required
  • Must demonstrate sound clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and cultural sensitivity as part of consultative work
  • Preferred qualifications include experience working with patients and families in clinical settings and knowledge of biology or medicine gained through education or prior work experience
