Fabrication and Assembly Technician

About the Role
">We are seeking an experienced fabrication and assembly technician to join our team at Curbell.
">In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling plastic parts according to work orders, verbal instructions, or blueprints in a safe, effective, and timely manner.
">The successful candidate will have a strong background in welding, gluing, and/or cementing of plastics or similar materials and be able to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
">Responsibilities

- Fabricate and assemble plastics parts by designing and constructing templates and fixtures, assembling tools and materials, positioning parts and subassemblies, and locating and marking bending and cutting lines onto parts.">
- Set up and operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops, such as radial drill presses, end mills, routers, brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and edge planners.">
- Ensure all parts are secured properly, alter dimensions to fit specifications, and package and label parts.">
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and parts lists by studying and interpreting assembly instructions and verifying specifications.">
- Develop layout and plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and shrinkage, and physical properties of plastics.">
- Provide a high level of customer service for both internal and external customers, displaying a high sense of urgency.">
- Verify conformance of products to specifications by following quality guidelines including the use of proper measuring devices, inspection of incoming and outgoing material for quality, and documentation through the quality process.">
Requirements
">The ideal candidate will have:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in welding, gluing, and/or cementing of plastics or similar materials.">
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.">
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.">
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.">
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.">
