Job Summary

PrideStaff is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Visalia, CA. As an HR Generalist, you will provide comprehensive HR support and guidance to our family of companies, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Your primary focus will be on providing HR support, handling employee relations, facilitating training and development, and managing various HR projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular communication with company leaders and local HR/Payroll representatives to analyze agency-specific human resources data and understand HR needs.
  • Provide coaching and advice on employee relations, performance management, and employment terminations, preparing or editing employee performance or disciplinary documentation as needed.
  • Offer guidance on the application of Federal and State labor and employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures, to ensure compliance.
  • Identify training and development needs of assigned companies and collaborate with various service center departments to facilitate training.
  • Assist with reasonable accommodations and the interactive process under the ADA.
  • Analyze human resources data, such as employee satisfaction survey scores, comments, new hire survey responses, exit interview information, unemployment claims data, and turnover statistics, recommending and facilitating necessary actions.
  • Investigate or oversee investigations of HR-related complaints and thoroughly document investigation and resolution processes.
  • Report any incidents of non-compliance or high-risk actions to the Director of HR and/or the Compliance Partner.
  • Assist with the development of job descriptions and create or revise human resources policies, procedures, and related documents/forms.
  • Conduct audits on selected HR activities, such as personnel files, FLSA compliance, or HR policies/processes periodically, to ensure consistency of administration and compliance.
  • Act as a cultural champion by promoting and embodying the organization's core values.
  • Assist with EEO compliance efforts and process simple biweekly payroll for a small group of employees.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, able to communicate fluently in both languages.
  • Valid CA drivers' license with the ability to drive and operate a company vehicle.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience in the HR field.
  • Knowledge of Labor Law and Cal-OSHA regulations.
  • Human Resource experience in the Agricultural industry preferred.
  • MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Some College and/or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
