Job Summary:

FPM Remediations, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and direct environmental construction projects in the Lubbock, Texas field office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage on-site labor hours, maintain construction project schedules, and evaluate material, equipment, and human resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to communicate changing project requirements, scheduling, subcontractor issues, and other project-related matters.
  • Ensure installation project safety compliance and report any issues to the Project Manager and Site Safety and Health Officer.
  • Directly supervise and coordinate field activities for assigned mid to large-scale construction projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate field activities, supervising project crews to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, morale, and communication.
  • Recognize and communicate site conditions that may impact quality, cost, and/or schedule.
  • Work closely with the Contractor Quality Control Officer and Site Safety Health Officer to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with emphasis on superintendence involving mid to large-scale construction projects. Experience at Department of Defense sites is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a technical or engineering discipline, or extensive experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience and training must include understanding of construction methods, techniques, equipment, and hands-on experience in a supervisory position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 40 certification.
  • Ability to successfully complete a U.S. government-administered investigation.

Work Environment:

The Construction Superintendent will work extensively in the field, traveling to various locations, including Texas and New Mexico, and other locations in the U.S. as needed. Fieldwork involves performing physically demanding tasks and working 10-hour days (typically five hour days per week).

Pay Range & Benefit:

$75,000 - $110,000
