Job Overview

At Tom Bell Chevrolet, we're committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. As a Paint Prepper/Helper, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the highest quality service. We're seeking a detail-oriented and team-oriented individual to join our paint department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare vehicles for painting by washing, cleaning, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Prime, block, and sand parts of vehicles as needed.
  • Mask, paper, or grease components to protect them during the painting process.
  • Operate basic hand tools and small power tools to complete prep work.
  • Maintain the condition of vehicles throughout the paint process.
  • Train and work in various areas of production as needed.
  • Identify, handle, and dispose of materials safely.
  • Meet quality standards by paying attention to detail.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
  • Participate in waste management, storage, and emergency procedures.
  • Communicate with teammates and the head painter to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a collision center paint department.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate equipment for painting functions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technology and procedures.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
