Responsibilities

You will be responsible for continuously monitoring patients' vital signs and responding to alarms in a timely and appropriate manner. This includes verifying correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms, and artifact, as well as maintaining EKG monitor alarms and responding to all alarms as needed.

  • Continuously observe all monitors assigned and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.

Qualifications

You must be attentive to detail and organized, with a focus on being a customer-service oriented team member. Minimum requirements include completing and passing an EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on an education platform within 30 days of start date in position.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. A background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training is also preferred.
