Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, and maintaining vehicles and equipment in a constant state of readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care according to your competencies and per the Medical Director's authorization and protocols.
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, using GPS, map books, and verbal directions to navigate to patients.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment in a constant state of readiness, completing daily vehicle and supply checklists and assisting with vehicle re-supply and decontamination.
  • Complete accurate and detailed patient care reports, billing information, and all other associated documentation in a timely manner.
  • Interact respectfully with multiple outside agencies, including police departments, fire departments, and first responder organizations, and provide excellent customer service to patients, victims, and the general public.
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Certified as a Paramedic in the State of Texas
  • CPR certification
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training
  • Valid Texas driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 125 lbs. independently
  • Customer service skills
  • Previous experience in emergency care is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
Work Schedule

This ambulance position can work a variety of schedules, including 8-hour shifts, 12-hours shifts, 24-hour shifts, and 48-hour shifts. While it is very important to show up when scheduled, we can usually accommodate a set school schedule.

For example, if you have classes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we could put you on a Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday schedule.
