Este puesto requiere un individuo con habilidades y capacidades para llevar a cabo una variedad de tareas rutinarias relacionadas con el mantenimiento del sistema de recolección de aguas residuales, con experiencia y habilidades básicas en operación de máquinas de chorro, operaciones de televisión de circuito cerrado o análisis de bloqueos de líneas, que requieran niveles mínimos de instrucción en cuanto a ejecución y seguridad mientras se trabaja en un entorno de equipo. El Especialista en Recolección de Aguas Residuales I realiza una variedad de tareas rutinarias relacionadas con el mantenimiento del sistema de recolección de aguas residuales, incluyendo operaciones de máquinas de chorro, operaciones de televisión de circuito cerrado y análisis de bloqueos de líneas.
Funciones Esenciales
- Observa las regulaciones de seguridad
- Utiliza el equipo de protección personal requerido
- Sigue y hace cumplir las prácticas de seguridad recomendadas y utiliza dispositivos de seguridad de tráfico apropiados como tableros de flechas, luces de seguridad, conos y barriles, etc., para la protección del flujo de tráfico
- Comprende los conceptos básicos de la hidráulica del sistema de recolección
- Prepara formularios de inspección previa al viaje del vehículo y varios documentos de trabajo, opera y limpia camiones de chorro o CCTV y equipos relacionados con el sistema de recolección
- Realiza contacto con el cliente, incluyendo el seguimiento requerido cuando ocurren eventos de bloqueo
- Realiza reparaciones/reemplazos menores en pozos de acceso, lámparas, limpiezas y otras estructuras del sistema de recolección
- Utiliza radio bidireccional, terminales de datos móviles y terminales LAN para actualizar el estado del trabajo
- Opera herramientas eléctricas y manuales según sea necesario para realizar el trabajo
- Funciona como un miembro activo y dispuesto del equipo
- Comprende hojas de 200', tarjetas de plomería, planos y materiales relacionados
- Comprende los conceptos básicos de la documentación de registro de WSSC Water
- Asiste en la configuración de equipos de limpieza de alcantarillado o televisado
- Asiste en la limpieza, CCTV, análisis de bloqueos de líneas y mantenimiento relacionado del sistema de recolección de aguas residuales
- Asiste o realiza la preparación de informes de análisis de bloqueos de líneas
- Dirige el tráfico según sea necesario
- Asiste en la realización de trabajos de emergencia en el sistema de recolección según sea necesario
- Realiza otras tareas relacionadas según se asignen
- Debe ser capaz de levantar objetos (hasta 90 libras) con frecuencia y/o asumir posiciones incómodas durante largos períodos de tiempo
- Cumplimiento de las regulaciones de seguridad
- Capacidad para utilizar el equipo de protección personal apropiado requerido
- Capaz de trabajar en un entorno donde hay riesgos rutinarios de exposición a niveles significativos de calor, frío, humedad, ruido, aguas residuales crudas y contaminación del aire
- Puede sufrir lesiones físicas menores como cortes, moretones y quemaduras leves
- Puede implicar caminar y transportar equipos pesados a través de terrenos difíciles como áreas densamente boscosas, a lo largo de arroyos y bancos de arroyos, y áreas de humedales
- Requiere habilidad y conocimiento para el análisis e interpretación de procedimientos, políticas y prácticas adquiridas a través de educación y/o capacitación específica
- Capacidad para trabajar en un entorno con supervisión limitada
- Capacidad para trabajar de manera autónoma
Diploma de escuela secundaria (o equivalente)
Requisitos Adicionales
- Poseer una licencia de conducir válida, con no más de 4 puntos, y la capacidad para obtener y mantener un permiso de conducir de WSSC Water dentro de los 90 días posteriores a la contratación o transferencia
- Debe aprobar un examen físico del Departamento de Transporte y poseer una tarjeta médica DOT
- Los empleados en este puesto son considerados personal de emergencia; por lo tanto, el empleado debe presentarse a trabajar según lo programado o según lo indicado por su supervisor cuando WSSC Water declare un evento que requiera que el personal de emergencia se presente a trabajar.
- Se puede requerir trabajo en turnos, estar de guardia y horas extras obligatorias
Se prefiere una licencia de conducir comercial de Clase B (CDL).

$23.13 por hora
