Position Overview
We are looking to establish long-term relationships with outstanding professionals who uphold high standards, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a passion for delivering top-notch practitioner-focused education.
We primarily seek industry experts to impart their knowledge and experiences to both undergraduate and graduate students across various disciplines.
Courses are structured to meet once or twice a week for eight weeks, combining in-person interactions with technology (such as online discussions and assignments) to create an enriched learning experience. Commitment is on a course-by-course basis.Key Responsibilities
Candidates from the state of Louisiana
are needed to conduct site evaluations at multiple clinical practicum locations throughout the region/state, typically once per 8-Week Session per site.
Evaluations usually last between 1-2 hours.Exhibit Adtalem Care by demonstrating behaviors of care, respect, and professionalism, fostering a collaborative and respectful culture among all.
Be readily available to address the needs of a diverse student body in terms of age, culture, and academic background.
Identify and seize opportunities to enhance student engagement by proactively reaching out to students in need and responding promptly to requests for assistance.
Bring your professional expertise to life through development opportunities, integrating industry perspectives into courses, and sharing insights about nursing trends and opportunities with students.
Qualifications
- MSN and DNP or PhD in nursing degree required
- Must hold an active, unencumbered Louisiana RN nursing license
- Must hold an active, unencumbered Louisiana APRN nursing license
- National certification through the AANP or ANCC required for AGAC
- Reliable transportation with the availability and willingness to travel to various clinical practicum sites throughout the region, typically one site visit per 8-Week Session for each designated location, usually during weekday/daytime hours
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level; online teaching experience is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing practice in a clinical setting is required
- Must possess required subject matter expertise in the course of instruction.
- Faculty must demonstrate excellent communication, motivational, and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
Compensation Information
In alignment with pay transparency laws, the expected compensation rate for this position ranges from $850/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, contingent upon the candidate's education and experience.
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, including course type, experience and training, geographic location, licensure and certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.
