Job Overview

This exciting opportunity awaits an experienced pastry cook to join our culinary team at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. As an Executive Pastry Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards. You will prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
  • Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area; set-up and break-down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Less than 1-year related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.

We offer a competitive salary range of $26.34-$32.92/hour, as well as health care benefits, retirement benefits, earned paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, and other life and work wellness benefits.
