Position Overview: The Financial Counselor plays a crucial role in delivering financial, credit, and debt management advisory services to patients. This position focuses on utilizing various strategies to secure coverage for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough insurance verification and eligibility assessments.
- Perform a range of administrative and clerical tasks that require a high level of responsibility and sensitivity.
- Engage in complex investigative and problem-solving activities aimed at reducing the hospital's bad debt exposure.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a financial counseling role or similar position within a healthcare setting (Required)
- At least 5 years of experience in a clerical capacity (Required)
- Comprehensive understanding of hospital registration processes and third-party billing regulations (Required)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
