Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites - East Greenbush Albany. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring hotel linens are cleaned and stored in a timely and organized manner according to policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Laundry Operations: Prepare all linen and towels for washing, ensure adequate loading of machines, and operate washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Linens Management: Separate all linen, watching for any valuables or obstacles, and separate stained linen for special treatment.
  • Storage and Organization: Fold clean linens and store as appropriate, ensure all linen is dried properly, and stack and store linen on shelves as directed.
  • Inventory and Maintenance: Assist in daily linen counts for monthly inventories, ensure all machines are blown down and clear lint traps daily, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and surrounding areas.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand directions on equipment and supplies.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, and bending. Occasionally may need to lift 30+ lbs. (with help) if needed.
Working Conditions

This is a weekend/weekday position, with a total of 30-40 hours/week. Weekends are a must. The Laundry Attendant will be reporting to the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager.
