Position Overview

FLSmidth Inc. is in search of a dedicated Field Service Engineer II (Automation). This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful commissioning, preventive maintenance, and ongoing support for our advanced systems, including ECS, AceSys, and Plant Data Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and maintain FLSmidth systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide aftermarket services to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Travel extensively, approximately 70% of the time, for both domestic and international assignments lasting 1-2 weeks.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field or a related occupation.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, including Ladder logic and Acesys function blocks in RSLogix, Step 7, PCS 7, and Unity PLC.
  • Experience with HMI programming, particularly ECS.
  • Knowledge of industrial networking protocols such as ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, and Modbus TCP.
  • Experience in firewall configuration with CISCO and DELL SonicWALL.
Work Environment

This position allows for remote work flexibility from anywhere in the U.S. The employer is open to considering any suitable combination of education, experience, and training, and acknowledges that experience may have been gained concurrently.
