Position Overview

Chevron Products Company invites applications for the role of Refinery Experienced Electrician. This position is integral to the Richmond Refinery and encompasses a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in both field and shop environments, necessitating journey-level expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance tasks adhering to established procedures, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Engage in troubleshooting, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Disassemble, remove, assemble, and install equipment as required.
  • Maintain and repair control systems and equipment, including both analog and digital devices.
  • Oversee power systems maintenance, working with motors, transformers, reactors, relays, and breakers.
  • Utilize hand, power, and precision tools effectively and safely.
  • Interpret blueprint drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently while planning and organizing tasks.
  • Estimate labor and materials, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
  • Foster positive relationships with operators and other crafts.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in using Electrical Test Equipment.
  • Experience with trade-specific pneumatic tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in refining or petrochemical environments.
  • 5+ years as a Journey-Level Electrician or Lineman.
  • Certification as a Journey-Level Electrician.
  • Additional certifications in protective relays, power circuit breakers, and electrical technology.
  • Experience as a Lineman.

Testing & Assessments

Selected candidates will undergo a series of assessments, including craft-specific aptitude and hands-on skill evaluations, focusing on industrial competencies.
