Position Overview:
Act as the primary support to the head chef in overseeing culinary operations. Aid in managing food preparation across various dining venues, special events, and other culinary functions at the club.
Oversee kitchen staff, assist with food preparation tasks as necessary, and ensure adherence to quality and cost standards.
Uphold and enforce company safety and emergency protocols.Key Responsibilities:
Directly prepares or supervises kitchen personnel responsible for daily meal preparations, including soups, sauces, and daily specials, ensuring compliance with standardized recipes for cooking methods, garnishing, and portion sizes.
Take full responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the executive chef.
Support the chef in training and supervising staff, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, menu development, and related production tasks.
Consistently uphold standards of quality, cost efficiency, visual appeal, and flavor of dishes.
Ensure optimal staffing levels for maximum productivity and high-quality standards; manage food and labor costs to maximize profitability.
Prepare reports, organize schedules, cost menus, and perform other administrative duties as assigned by the executive chef.Actively participate in various kitchen stations as directed by the chef.
Assist in planning energy-saving initiatives within the kitchen.
Contribute to the development of training programs and professional growth opportunities for all kitchen personnel.
Collaborate with dining service staff during daily briefings.
Help maintain kitchen security, including equipment and inventory management.
Assist in the procurement, delivery, storage, and distribution of food items.
Supervise, train, and assess kitchen staff performance.
Coordinate buffet setups.
Report member and guest feedback to the chef and assist in addressing concerns.
Monitor kitchen staff time cards to ensure adherence to scheduled shifts.
Understand and consistently apply proper sanitation practices, including personal hygiene standards.
Attend staff meetings.
Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the chef.

REQUIREMENTS Previous experience as a line cook is essential. Previous experience in hospitality or client services is required. Must be comfortable standing for the duration of the shift. Must be adept at working in a kitchen environment. Detail-oriented and passionate about culinary arts.
