Your capability to convert real-world challenges into technical specifications will play a vital role in delivering tailored engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in capacity analysis, data transport, and management for DoD SATCOM systems.
- Analyze, design, and develop satellite communication systems while integrating advanced technological solutions.
- Expand your knowledge in the evolving landscape of SATCOM, including narrowband, commercial SATCOM, and 5G technologies.
- Collaborate on international SATCOM initiatives and contribute to the future direction of the Department's SATCOM strategy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on technical requirement analysis and implementation strategies.
- Familiarity with satellite communications and mobile wireless networks, including 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
- Proven ability to provide strategic technical insights to DoD clients, including the creation of analytical and engineering documentation.
- Strong communication skills to present complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
- Must possess a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Data Science.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience with comprehensive satellite communications systems, including terminals, gateways, and IP networks.
- Experience in digital engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Knowledge of DoD SATCOM policies and acquisition processes.
- TS/SCI clearance is a plus.
- Master's degree in a relevant technology field.
