Position Overview:
As a Clinical Nurse I, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care to patients and families facing complex healthcare challenges. Your focus will be on providing safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver quality patient care and enhance customer satisfaction through:

  • Adherence to the Nurse Practice Act and established scope of practice
  • Efficient clinic or unit operations through effective scheduling and resource management
  • Conducting thorough assessments using both subjective and objective data
  • Prioritizing and documenting nursing assessments and care plans with critical thinking
  • Implementing care plans and delegating tasks to nursing staff as appropriate
  • Developing educational plans for patients to promote health and wellness
  • Evaluating patient responses to interventions and communicating effectively with the care team
  • Coordinating care and referring patients to additional services as needed
  • Performing triage to ensure patients receive appropriate care
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A current Registered Nurse Texas License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (preferred)

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in nursing, an Associate's degree in nursing, or a diploma from an accredited nursing school is required.

Physical Requirements:
This position may require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

Security Sensitive:
This role may involve security-sensitive responsibilities as outlined by Texas Education Code.

Veteran Information:
Military occupations related to the selection criteria for this position may include various codes.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must reside and work in the State of Texas.
