About the Role

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Campus Security Associate to join our team at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all associates and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visitor Management: Direct visitors and control access at all entry points, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for our associates and guests.
  • Cross-Walk Duty: Monitor morning traffic and ensure the safety of our associates and visitors while on cross-walk duty.
  • Incident Reporting: Write incident and accident reports on issues that occur on the campus, providing accurate and timely documentation.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor CCTV, security, and fire suppression systems to ensure the safety and security of our facilities.
  • Area Patrol: Patrol and secure areas inside and outside the facilities, identifying and addressing potential security risks.
  • First Aid: Administer first aid as needed, providing medical assistance to our associates and visitors.
  • Truck Access Control: Assess and restrict inbound and outbound truck access at each of our Distribution Centers, ensuring the security and integrity of our operations.
  • Safety Concerns: Report and address safety concerns, working closely with our security team to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Team Support: Effectively support the DC-Security team and other departments as needed, providing a high level of service and support.
Requirements
  • Education: Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional Maturity: Demonstrate professional maturity and comfort when interacting with varying levels of leadership.
  • Security Experience: Previous work experience or education in a security-related field is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on professional interactions.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and follow through on issues in a timely and urgent manner.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain a high level of confidentiality, handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Public Relations: Possess strong public relations skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Independence: Work independently, with a high degree of organization and self-motivation.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to quickly respond, on foot, to locations throughout the facilities.
  • Computer Skills: Must be able to view information on a computer monitor and CCTV screen.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Communication Skills: Possess solid verbal and written communication skills.
