The 8 North Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Penn State Health Holy Spirit is a 11 bed unit that operates as a step down progressive care unit (PCU).

The RN Clinical Staff Leader is responsible for assisting in supervising nursing staff; for providing leadership and orientation to nursing personnel; and for performing a variety of nursing duties in order to coordinate the delivery of care to patients.

The RN Clinical Staff Leader (CSL) is a fundamental managerial role within Penn State Health, responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality patient care while fostering a culture of excellence within the nursing team.

The CSL will be actively involved in clinical care delivery while also assuming leadership responsibilities to support the achievement of optimal patient outcomes.

This position requires a dynamic individual with strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a dedication to continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising nursing staff
  • Provide leadership and orientation to nursing personnel
  • Perform a variety of nursing duties to coordinate patient care
  • Ensure delivery of safe, effective, high-quality patient care
  • Support the achievement of optimal patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • 2-3 years RN registered nurse experience in acute care setting
  • Previous work experience in a supervisory, management or other healthcare leadership capacity
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
