Job Summary

We're seeking a CAD/BIM Specialist to join our team in Madison, WI or Minneapolis, MN. As a key member of our Bridge Section, you'll support the production of drawings, layouts, sketches, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software. You'll work closely with supervisors, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Support the production of drawings, layouts, sketches, and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality results.
  • Perform quantity take-offs, plan sheet production, field investigations, and inspections as needed.
  • Support other Transportation sections with engineering tasks.
Qualifications
  • Associate or technical school degree in engineering, construction management, computer programming, information technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in civil and structural design with BIM programs.
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
  • Interest and enthusiasm to learn other CAD and BIM software.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
