Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

International Leadership of Texas is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing speech and language services to students with communication disorders.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing students with speech, voice, or language disorders, and providing therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with the student's ability to derive full benefit from the educational program.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions
  • Develop and implement individual and group therapy plans to meet the needs of students with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom activities to improve students' communication skills
  • Consult with colleagues, students, and parents regarding the accomplishment of therapy goals, the needs of the student, and involvement in the remedial process
  • Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of speech-language pathology services and make changes based on the findings
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for Speech-Language Pathologists (TDLR)
  • Ability to use the accepted tests and measurements to assess communication disorders and conditions
  • Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders and conditions
  • Ability to instruct and manage student behavior
Working Conditions:

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced educational environment, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The position requires frequent sitting, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. The Speech Language Pathologist may be required to lift and carry students with physical disabilities, and may be exposed to biological hazards, bacteria, and communicable diseases.
