Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacy Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and involves a 13-week assignment with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in interdisciplinary ICU rounds on weekdays.
  • Engage in antibiotic stewardship initiatives across the facility.
  • Provide clinical support to medical/surgical units, including participation in rounds and addressing clinical inquiries.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy personnel to resolve clinical questions.

Patient Demographics:
The role primarily involves adult inpatient care, with pediatric cases managed in the emergency department only. Please note that there are no labor and delivery responsibilities.

Facility Details:
  • Patient Ratio: 54 medical/surgical/telemetry beds
  • 10 ICU beds
  • 8-12 medical/behavioral beds
  • Emergency Room and Same-Day Surgery services
  • Radiology and Interventional Radiology services

Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PharmD, NJ State license, BCPS preferred
  • Experience with Epic, Pyxis, and I-vent systems is essential; familiarity with Pharmacy One Source is advantageous.
  • Experience in ICU settings and antibiotic stewardship is mandatory.

Dress Code: Green scrubs are required.
