Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Acute Rehabilitation team on a full-time basis, working nights. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to acutely ill patients, working under the supervision of our experienced nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the nursing process, collaborating with registered nurses to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Perform assigned procedures within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing for LPNs.
- Coordinate nursing care activities with other members of the interdisciplinary rehab team to achieve overall goals.
- Maintain accurate records and nursing documentation, adhering to LPN scope of practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, demonstrating tact and understanding.
- Respond to constructive criticism and exercise safe judgment in decision-making.
- Participate in the development and accomplishment of unit goals, conveying risk and safety concerns to leadership as needed.
- Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse program.
- Current Iowa Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.
- Current BCLS verification.
- Previous healthcare experience within a clinical setting preferred.
