Job Summary:

We are seeking a proficient manual craftsman who is adept in the assembly, fabrication, and maintenance of architectural metal components for various structures. This role is essential for those who have a passion for metalwork and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute skilled tasks in the assembly, fabrication, and maintenance of architectural metal structures.
  • Interpret and work from detailed sketches for shop fabrication.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to fabricate metal components effectively.
  • Manage the loading, unloading, erection, and dismantling of materials and scaffolding.
  • Perform welding and cutting of steel and aluminum frameworks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and practices while working.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper care and custody of tools and equipment.
  • Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.

Work Environment:

This position may involve working in conditions with exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, odors, and varying weather elements.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of architectural ironworking principles and safety measures.
  • Capability to interpret sketches, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in oxyacetylene and electric arc welding techniques.
  • Experience in the use and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent, complemented by approved apprenticeship training in architectural ironwork or relevant experience.
