About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Architect to join our team at Communities First, Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in designing and overseeing the construction of our projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Collaborate with our leadership team to determine project objectives, requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Design and Planning: Create architectural designs and plans that meet aesthetic, functional, and safety criteria, utilizing your expertise in CAD software and other essential design tools.
  • Construction Oversight: Oversee the construction process to ensure that projects are executed according to plans and specifications, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals as needed.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and manage expectations, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in architecture and construction, and conduct assessments to identify areas for improvement in resource efficiency and environmental impact.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in architecture, with a licensed architect registration in the State of Michigan and NCARB certification.
  • Skills and Experience: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat, proficiency in CAD software, Revit, and other essential design tools, proven experience in architectural design, planning, and project management, and working knowledge of building codes and ability to coordinate with consultants.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess strong work ethic, demonstrates initiative, shows commitment and desire to work in an entrepreneurial, team-based environment, and demonstrates excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
