Job Summary

The Life Skills Trainer will provide training, assistance, and supervision to individuals receiving care in the areas of living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other forms of assistance in both residential and community settings. This role requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide training and assistance in daily living skills, such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Assist with daily activities, including shopping, cleaning, and transportation to work or other activities.
  • Facilitate the working relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans.
Requirements
  • 6-12 months of experience in the human services field preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License from state of residence.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Successful clearance of background checks.
  • A caring attitude and a dedication to assisting others.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills.
