Job Description

The Senior Superintendent will oversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, and progress. They will provide guidance, leadership, and direct supervision of site staff, including assistant superintendents, laborers, and other construction-related personnel.

The Senior Superintendent will manage subcontractors on site to maximize efficiency and ensure they meet contractual obligations and complete the entire scope of work, including maintaining cleanliness, safety procedures, and staffing.

They will examine contract drawings and specifications for design deficiencies, impractical details, and possible code violations, and bring these to the attention of the Project Manager for review with the Architect.

The Senior Superintendent will cooperate with and direct when necessary the activities of inspection agencies and effect remedial actions indicated by the reports of these agencies.

Requirements

The Successful Senior Superintendent will have a strong track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget.

They must be comfortable overseeing the workforce on each project and be personable, able to explain daily plans and project objectives to owners.

The Successful Senior Superintendent will have proven experience in successfully leading multifamily and commercial projects and working closely with subcontractors and the community.
