Position Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities, equipment, and grounds. This role may also be referred to as a Building Care Specialist. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning tasks, including using compressed air and other methods to clean equipment.
  • Conduct scrubbing, sanitizing, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping activities.
  • Manage waste disposal, clean spills, replace air fresheners, change light bulbs, and maintain water coolers.
  • Prepare facilities for events, including meetings and banquets.
  • Maintain cleanliness in offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other areas.
  • Assist with moving furniture, supplies, and equipment as necessary.
  • Carry out outdoor maintenance tasks, including trimming shrubbery and clearing walkways.
  • Participate in safety programs and use Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Keep track of maintenance records and monitor cleaning supplies.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks for moving and loading tasks.
  • Adhere to efficiency and safety standards consistently.
  • Maintain a tidy work area and follow supervisory instructions.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist in other production roles as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to recognize colors and sizes, and accurately count and sort items.
  • In some locations, certification to operate powered industrial trucks may be required.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures, or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Capability to work independently and follow written or verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 90 lbs. Work may occur in various environments, including industrial laundry facilities and outdoor areas, with exposure to machinery, temperature variations, and dust.
