Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for administering diagnostic and rehabilitative services to patients referred for services and maintaining records pertinent to such services.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing skills
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address communication disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities and contribute to program development
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
  • Current Speech Language Pathology License issued by NCBOESLPA
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology awarded by ASHA
  • Progressive knowledge of Speech Language Pathology and willingness to participate in continuing education
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a medically based Speech Language Pathology setting
  • Prior direct patient care experience with medically complex patients
  • Prior direct patient care experience with trachs/vents and instrumental swallowing evaluation techniques
