Job Title: Psychiatric Technician

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at ERP International. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Technician will conduct or assist in treatment and rehabilitation of patients, perform initial basic assessment procedures, and identify mental health and nursing diagnoses. You will also provide patient education, observe and monitor patient progress, and coordinate with other agencies regarding specified care and treatment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct or assist in treatment and rehabilitation of patients
  • Perform initial basic assessment procedures, including standardized psychological testing and clinical interviewing
  • Identify mental health and nursing diagnoses and provide patient education
  • Observe, monitor, record, and report patient progress
  • Conduct or assist in conducting group and individual counseling, therapeutic community, and other related milieu activities
  • Institute precautionary measures to prevent patient injury or suicide
  • Assist patients with nutritional, hygiene, and comfort measures
  • Obtain and record vital signs
  • Coordinate with other agencies regarding specified care, treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, and administrative functions
Requirements:
  • Certificate in Psychiatric Technician Program or equivalent education and experience
  • One year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician after graduation
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance
