Structural Engineer Job Description

Brown and Caldwell, a leading environmental engineering firm, is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to lead project teams and deliver high-quality designs for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop scopes of work and level of effort estimates for structural project work.
  • Manage structural project teams and ensure budget and schedule compliance.
  • Provide structural engineering design for tanks, basins, and building facilities at water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Design concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures per CBC.
  • Perform condition assessments of existing structures.
Requirements:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structural design per CBC and referenced standards.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering design required.
  • Strong background in seismic design of structures using various code analysis procedures.
  • Experience with ASCE 41 preferred.
  • Structural design experience with wastewater treatment plant or industrial facilities preferred; commercial design experience is a plus.
