We are seeking an experienced Liquid Distribution Subsystem Responsible Engineer/Technical Lead to join our Fluids team on our pathfinding mission to the moon. As part of this role, you will provide technical guidance to your team members, advise on key technical approaches, and tackle complex problems. You will also be responsible for mentoring and training junior team members.

The successful candidate will oversee the complete life cycle of the system, from definition to operation, including interfaces, conceptual design, detailed design, component development, assembly, verification, and planning. They will manage risks, develop mitigation plans, and work with internal and external suppliers to design, build, test, and analyze components necessary for lunar exploration.

Key Qualifications:

  • A degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, or Systems Engineering
  • Over 8 years of experience in fluids and mechanical systems/components
  • Experience in developing, integrating, and certifying aerospace systems for flight
  • Familiarity with fluid/gas components, such as solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels, and instrumentation
  • Leadership experience in managing small teams and subcontractor teams to achieve objectives
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with either agile or waterfall project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication, verbal, written, and graphical skills
  • Ability to build trust, maintain professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired Skills:

  • Masters degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, or Systems Engineering
  • Systems Engineering experience, particularly in requirements and interface definition, management, and verification
  • Cryogenic fluids expertise
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) programs (ANSYS Preferred)
  • Experience working with upper stages and spacecraft
  • Knowledge of the entire life cycle of a propulsion and fluid system

Compensation: The estimated annual salary range for this position is $136,467 to $191,053, based on location.
