Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in dental hygiene courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, providing individualized support and feedback to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes meet industry standards.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in dental hygiene education, participating in ongoing professional development and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of academic programs, policies, and procedures that align with the college's mission and goals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist.
  • Current and unencumbered dental hygiene license in the state of employment.
  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Prior teaching experience and documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments.
  • Current knowledge of the specific subject being taught and evidence of participation in workshops, in-service training, and scholarly productivity.
