Join Our Team as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Specialist
SSM Health-Dean Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Specialist to enhance our established surgical team. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice within a supportive environment focused on high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery; current practitioners must be Board Certified
- Eligibility to secure a Wisconsin Medical License and DEA registration
Position Highlights:
- Become an integral part of a well-respected Cardiothoracic Surgery group, consisting of three surgeons, five physician assistants, and one nurse practitioner.
- Engage in a practice with an annual volume of around 500 open-heart surgeries and 250 thoracic procedures, with anticipated growth due to system expansion.
- The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive skills in cardiac surgery, including CABG, aortic valve and root surgery, as well as mitral valve repair and replacement, alongside thoracic aortic surgery. Proficiency in catheter-based techniques for our active TAVR and TEVAR programs is highly preferred.
- Experience in General Thoracic surgery, including VATS and/or robotic techniques, is also desirable.
- Participate in a call schedule of 1:3 for weekdays and weekends.
- Benefit from the support of a dedicated, fellowship-trained Cardiovascular Anesthesia team.
- Receive 24/7 support from Intensivists for ICU patient care.
- Enjoy a balanced work/life environment with the potential for outreach clinic activities.
