We are seeking a skilled Dietetic Technician to join our team at Carle Health, a leading healthcare provider. In this role, you will play a vital part in the Food Service department, ensuring the smooth operation of the diet office.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the Food Service department, ensuring the efficient operation of the diet office.
- Function as a Dining Service operator, working closely with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Food Handler Certification required within 30 days.
- Knowledge of nutrition and/or modified diets preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Process patient/guest food orders in the Dining Service computer.
- Complete diet changes and collect, post, and calculate calorie counts.
- Cost out food-to-floor orders and post costs into the computer program.
- Process physician lunch orders and keep the nourishment cardex updated.
- Complete monthly diet office reports and assist in training new diet techs.
- Deliver patient/guest trays and assist on trayline as needed.
