About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applied Scientist to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions for applications including speech enhancement, voice analytics, and real-time transcription of conversational audio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop novel machine learning models for audio signal processing and speech recognition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into cloud contact center applications
  • Contribute to the development of real-time audio processing algorithms and techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, signal processing, and natural language processing
Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in machine learning, signal processing, and/or natural language processing
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Strong publication record and patent portfolio
  • Ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in applied science roles
  • Professional software development experience for real-time/low latency features
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
