About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Applied Scientist to join our Next Generation Developer Experience (NGDE) Science team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building AI-based services that redefine the way developers work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AI-powered services that enable developers to build applications more efficiently.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to drive the delivery of end-to-end modeling solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of new AWS services and features that set us apart in the industry.
What You'll Need
  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in building models for business applications.
  • Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
  • Experience in areas such as algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing, deep learning, generative AI, and large language models.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in professional software development.
  • Experience using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other machine learning frameworks.

  • A competitive salary range of $136,000/year to $222,200/year, depending on location.
