Job Description
As a Strategic Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading college-wide projects that significantly shape the clinical, fiscal, and administrative landscape of the University of Florida College of Medicine. This role partners closely with the Chief of Staff and the Dean in strategic planning, driving projects that align with and elevate the college's strategic priorities.
You will foster a culture of excellence and innovation, ensuring impactful project outcomes that contribute to UF COM's mission of advancing health through education, research, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Define project objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders and create project plans and teamwork assignments.
- Work collaboratively and proactively within UF COM departments/divisions and across the UF Health Science Center, interfacing with departments and leadership to ensure there is appropriate structure and support for projects.
- Serve as the project manager on mission-critical, high-profile, high-risk, and complex projects across UF COM.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with a variety of people at all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge of project management, Six Sigma, or other operational improvement methodologies.
- Must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently, as a team leader, and as a team member.
- High-level interpersonal skills, written and oral communication necessary to interface with various levels of management.
Salary
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $$125,000 and $160,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
