Job Overview:

As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will enhance your accounting expertise, investigate both current and emerging SSAP and GAAP regulations, and ascertain the suitable accounting treatment. Your responsibilities will include compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual management and regulatory financial statements, engaging in the monthly closing process, and conducting variance analysis. You will also be tasked with optimizing existing processes and promoting operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and precise internal and external financial statements along with related schedules for reporting entities.
  • Develop and maintain queries and worksheets to assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Implement necessary changes to comply with regulatory standards and stay updated on shifts in accounting guidance, trends, techniques, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments and divisions on accounting matters.
  • Complete timely and accurate state filings.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables. Familiarity with Workday is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work autonomously, conduct analyses, and resolve issues.
  • Capability to research and apply accounting standards.
  • Previous experience in regulatory reporting is preferred.
  • An accounting degree and CPA designation are preferred, though not essential.
  • Typically requires four years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and is based out of corporate offices.
