Position Overview

Wilkes University is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Adult Health I (med-surg) area within the Passan School of Nursing's Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program.

Compensation: $50.00 per hour for candidates with a Master's Degree and $55.00 per hour for those holding a Doctoral Degree. A one-time bonus will also be provided in addition to the salary.

Role Responsibilities

As an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member, you will have teaching responsibilities in a clinical environment. A valid Pennsylvania nursing license is required, and travel stipends are available.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborating with faculty, administration, and healthcare partners.
  • Facilitating effective learning experiences for students in clinical settings.
  • Providing guidance on professionalism, practice, and research in clinical environments.
  • Organizing and selecting student learning activities to meet clinical objectives.
  • Promoting evidence-based practices in nursing.
  • Creating a supportive learning atmosphere by offering constructive feedback on student performance.
  • Completing all necessary orientation, training, and onboarding processes.
  • Submitting assignments and course grades in a timely manner.
  • Exhibiting professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior in clinical settings.
Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered Pennsylvania RN license.
  • Master's degree in nursing required or pending graduation from an MSN program.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in the relevant specialty area.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts in a clinical setting if necessary.
