We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Distribution Technician to join our team at Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. As an Electrical Distribution Technician, you will be responsible for patrolling distribution lines, carrying and handling telescopic measuring sticks and switching sticks, and clearing brush for walking and staking during survey work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol distribution lines in various terrain and potentially adverse conditions to identify damage
  • Carry and handle telescopic measuring sticks and switching sticks that weigh approximately 11 lbs.
  • Clear brush for walking and staking during survey work using a brush axe or machete
  • Supply information and seek assistance as necessary from other team members
  • Apply technical knowledge and experience to resolve problems encountered in assigned work
  • Use initiative to look for opportunities to improve the process and increase job knowledge/technical skills
  • Communicate effectively with other employees and customers
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and papers
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering Technology plus 10+ years of related utility industry work experience
  • Possess extensive knowledge of equipment, materials, systems, and business processes
  • Possess moderate computer literacy skills
  • Valid Driver's License and Safe Driving Record required
