Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician II is a critical role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our machinery and equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections, cleanings, lubricating, and adjusting of machinery and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to planned maintenance schedules to prevent unexpected downtime and ensure timely servicing of machinery and equipment.
- Program and modify programmable controllers to optimize equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery and equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform moderate to complex repairs of machinery and equipment, including replacements, adjustments, and maintenance of faulty components, parts, or systems.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities, ensuring availability when needed.
- Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) to ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies within assigned and outsourced work.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities through the Envista Business System (EBS), including Kaizens, 5S events, Standard Work workshops, Kanban, and Kamishibai.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or technical certification or higher education in a relevant field plus 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated aptitude in complex mechanical, electrical, and instrumental skills.
- Proficiency in operating advanced hand tools, machinery, and testing equipment.
- Familiarity with reading and modifying Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to learn business systems and extract reports to identify trends.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Working Conditions:
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping. The employee must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 15 pounds independently, frequently up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Occasional travel may be required using company vehicles to pick up parts.
