The Walsh Group is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team for the SETF/Howard Frankland Bridge Replacement project in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our construction team, you will perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor, operate hand and power tools, and assist with site preparation and other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a complex and challenging project with a rapidly growing and highly diversified construction company. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing tasks involving physical labor as instructed by your supervisor
  • Working with crew members and operating a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches
  • Loading and unloading construction supplies around the worksite manually and with the use of equipment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of verifiable experience in a similar role
  • The ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions
  • The ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
  • A strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • Good manual dexterity and the ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
