Piedmont Eastside Medical Center - Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Piedmont Eastside Medical Center. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our surgical services.

About the Role

The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure seamless care transitions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, with a focus on surgical care. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
  • Document patient care and progress in the medical record
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a current RN license and at least one year of experience in a hospital setting. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Advanced certification in a specialty area is also desirable.
